RICO Act investigation of ACORN? (Patrick Fitzgerald, FBI)
UPDATE 10/11/2008 @ 7:40 am: This is a somewhat related story but still no smoking gun (by the way, we are not familiar with this source, so draw your own conclusions). Rumors are now that something of substance will surface on Monday or Tuesday…

The buzz around the blogosphere this morning is that Patrick Fitzgerald is leading a team of FBI investigators in 10 states on a RICO case involving ACORN and possibly the Obama campaign.
As of 7:40 am, this is still an unsubstantiated rumor. We will keep our eyes and ears open and report on this story if and when it gets legs.

The FBI has already taken the computers in their vegas office and there is another office in Ohio thats being investigated. McCain and other republicans are also calling for Acorn to be investigated!
