Unlike Obama who has drawn large crowds by surreptitiously having his rallies in Portland and Berlin coincide with popular free rock concerts, Sarah’s audience at The Villages in Florida was genuine.
She didn’t even have to heal her fans broken souls. Here is an excerpt from the News-Press.com (Ft Myers)…
“Sa-Rah! Sa-Rah!” they chanted at every mention of her name, applauding loudly and waiving tiny American flags that were distributed — along with free water bottles — by local volunteers. The fire chief estimated the crowd at 60,000.
Admiring throngs mobbed the Palin family’s arrival and departure, snapping souvenir pictures. Autograph seekers thrust campaign signs, caps with the McCain-Palin logo and copies of magazines with her face on their covers, and the Palins responded warmly.

As much as liberals believe an Obama loss would be a terrible thing (as Woody Allen said just yesterday “It would be a disgrace and a humiliation…“), a loss by Sarah would be humiliating to that part of America that isn’t so unashamedly dainty as Obama. By the way, have you ever noticed that Obama makes even Fred Astaire seem macho (no insult intended to Fred) ?
This election has certainly put American voters in a tough place. Before the conventions, this election’s battle lines were defined by Obama…young versus old, peaceniks against warmongers, light-bearers against un-evolved cave-dwellers.
But then McCain changed everything by throwing Obama and his devotees a curve ball.

Lynn Forester de Rothschild chews up poor Campbell Brown in this interview. As you may recall, de Rothschild, a prominent Hillary supporter, threw her support behind McCain-Palin just yesterday and in this interview she explains the problems she has with Obama. Campbell Brown is obviously a devoted Obama fan and seems quite irritated by her own inability to damage the testimony of Lynn de Rothschild.

This is a perfect example of what may happen with many centrist Democratic voters. Lynn Forester de Rothschild (click on her name for a brief bio), a major fundraiser, friend, and supporter of Hillary Clinton, is bailing on Obama because he is simply too far to the left. She is stepping down from her position as a member of the Democratic National Committee’s Platform Committee but will not change parties.
