As we come into the last few rounds of this fight, we can expect (we hope) McCain to turn up the heat. And he has lots of ammunition in reserve, if he will only use it.

“We’re going to get a little tougher,” a senior Republican operative said, indicating that a fresh batch of television ads is coming. “We’ve got to question this guy’s associations. Very soon.

Let’s hope the McCain Camp doesn’t actually mean “a little tougher”–McCain hasn’t laid a glove on this guy yet and he needs to get more than a little tougher.  If McCain doesn’t start landing the haymakers soon, he can kiss his chances (and ours) good-bye.

Furthermore, McCain would be wise to reconsider his rule for keeping Jeremiah Wright off-limits.  Wright is fair game because he symbolizes the anti-American cronies Obama has chummed around with for most of his adult life.  Of course Obama knew that his church was unabashedly anti-American and pro-African…that was its very foundation.

If Obama somehow wins the Presidency, it will be because McCain has failed his country–there will be no honor in this defeat.

The McCain camp released a statement a little while ago about the crazy behavior of the Democrats regarding the financial meltdown. Here it is in its entirety…

“From the minute John McCain suspended his campaign and arrived in Washington to address this crisis, he was attacked by the Democratic leadership: Senators Obama and Reid, Speaker Pelosi and others. Their partisan attacks were an effort to gain political advantage during a national economic crisis. Great News!

Obama is a pitiful debater (odd, considering his training at Harvard Law) and McCain will, I hope, mop the floor with him. Read the story at FoxNews.com.

For quite a while it has appeared that Obama has been directing his sales pitch to those he has already won.  He seems to relish basking in the adoration of his diehard far-left fans instead of reaching for the centrist voters…and this is what may cost him the election.
