When I was in Wal-mart last week, I stopped in the eyeglass shop for the sole purpose of doing a little research. There were various women customers scattered about the shop looking at the frames and there was an attractive young women behind the counter. As I was to learn, there were also several females in the nearby lab, but no men beside myself.

I asked the young woman behind the counter if any customers had recently inquired about Sarah Palin eyeglass frames.

As much as liberals believe an Obama loss would be a terrible thing (as Woody Allen said just yesterday “It would be a disgrace and a humiliation…“), a loss by Sarah would be humiliating to that part of America that isn’t so unashamedly dainty as Obama. By the way, have you ever noticed that Obama makes even Fred Astaire seem macho (no insult intended to Fred) ?

This election has certainly put American voters in a tough place. Before the conventions, this election’s battle lines were defined by Obama…young versus old, peaceniks against warmongers, light-bearers against un-evolved cave-dwellers.

But then McCain changed everything by throwing Obama and his devotees a curve ball.

Up until the point that Hillary was out and Sarah was in, Kirsten Powers gave me a chill down my spine. She was pure Hillbot, with a smile like a great white shark–lots of pretty teeth but with a cold, almost angry, look in her eyes.

However, in the last couple of weeks, she has changed. The false smile is gone and the eyes and demeanor are softer. On top of that, she has begun to make sense, particularly about the importance of Sarah Palin to women voters…and how team Obama is oblivious to it.
